Punctuation on a letter board
Some marks aren't their own piece — they're built out of other pieces. Pasted versions are counted as their substitutes automatically:
O and 0: visually interchangeable on the board — if one runs short, the other can stand in.
Mixing sizes: if your headline uses 2″ pieces and your body uses 1″, your effective character pool doubles — the Regular and Large collections draw from separate inventories.
